For many, Fisherman Bay is their first glimpse of the beauty of Lopez Island. And although it wasn't my first look, I've spent countless days sailing in and out of this sweet bay and have never come to see it as ordinary. In addition to its watery paradise it's bounded by landmarks all along its banks.
And although much of the coast is private there're abundant opportunities to experience Fisherman Bay. Including, but I'm sure not limited to: Haven Kitchen & Bar, Weeks Wetland Preserve (San Juan County Land Bank),  Islands Marine Center, Lopez Islander Resort & Marina, Galley Restaurant & Bar, Bayview Day Park (Port of Lopez), Otis Perkins Day Park (San Juan County Parks), Fisherman Bay Spit Preserve (San Juan County Land Bank).
